Tells the story of the man who became King George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth II. After his brother abdicates, George, aka Albert aka 'Bertie' reluctantly assumes the throne. Plagued by a dreaded stammer and considered unfit to be king, Bertie engages the help of an unorthodox speech therapist named Lionel Logue. Through a set of unexpected techniques, and as a result of an unlikely friendship, Bertie is able to find his voice and boldly lead the country through war.

This movie is nice. I love biopics! i find myself researching on the real people these characters are based on.
Have a listen to the actual speech King George VI recited.

Colin Firth deserves to win all the awards so far and I hope he wins in the Oscars.
He's the Duke of York and suffers a bad stammer/stutter and Firth plays this disability well and we see how he struggles and fights to show that he has a voice.
An all British cast with the Geoffrey Rush, Helena Bonham Carter, and Guy Pearce as brother Edward.
Even Dumbledore was there.
All these supporting characters, and even Rush underplay their roles so that there is more room for Firth.

The costume work was beautiful, and the sets were other worldy.. (well, I've never been to the UK)

I like the cinematography! it's so awesome to watch.. I wanna watch it in the theater.
It's a movie of Valor (Bravery), Kindness, Strength and overcoming adversity.. You find yourself rooting for him throughout the movie.

Not a lot of effects and action, this movie should be watched for the masterful acting of the cast.
I enjoyed, and I hope you do too!

9/10
